Library Volunteers
It's so exciting to be beginning the fall season here @ KV. Although the summer was much too short and not nearly warm enough there is someting about the fall season in the church that refresh's your soul ..... New people, getting reacquainted with your friends that have been busy all summer, new programs, but the same awesome gospel that never changes. God has been so good to us and blessed our church so much ! One of the things that I (Carol) have a passion for is reading and we have so many great books in the library, fiction and non fiction. If you have been a part of KV for a long time or are new to the church, volunteering in the church library is a great way to meet people, helping them look for books or just talking about books you or they may have read. We order new books on a regular basis and if you come in looking for a book and we don't have it, mention it to the volunteer and she will see if it is something we might order for the library. So come and check the library out this Sunday and say "hi" to the library co-ordinator , Tracie McGrath, who has taken over from Maureen Penn who has moved to Alberta. And, if you would like to volunteer @ the church library drop in this Sunday and sign the Volunteer sheet. It only means helping once every 6-8 weeks.... We are also selling KV Cook Books as a fund raiser at the reduced price of $5.00 and that includes a fabric gift bag. We hope to sell 100 of them before Christmas to buy more books & DVD's. They would make a great little gift for Christmas.....Look forward to talking to you !!
Young @ Heart
The senior's group @ Kings Valley, the Young @ Heart, are holding the first "potluck" of the new church season on Saturday, September 19th @ 5:30pm. Anyone who has been to a potluck put on by the Young @ Heart knows that they are awesome ! A great evening of food and entertainment will be yours to enjoy. You will be entertained by the "cool chicks & ugly doclings" a group of doctors and medical workers who will join us to entertain with music & humour. There will be a free will offering. Invite your friends and join us for a fun night !!
