Grief Share--Surviving the Holidays

No matter how long it's been since your loved one died, grief can make the holidays a painful time. But there's hope. Join us for an encouraging seminar that will help you survive the holidays and discover new reasons to enjoy them again. This is a two hour seminar that includes a workbook, video and discussion time. $5 donation to cover cost of workbook is appreciated. You can attend this seminar Thursday, December 3rd at 6:30pm OR Saturday, December 5th at 10:00am. Mothers-in-Need Baby Shower

Thanks to everyone who participated in the shower for Mothers-in-need. We created 28 care packages ! That doesn't even include the stack of gift certificates, 16 packages of diapers, 13 packages of wipes and 25 containers of formula !

Boys and Girls Club Sponshorship

This organization has been challenged recently due to shortfalls in revenues in reaching out to support the kids of our community attending this program. KV is happy to announce that we have hired Sherry McCormick as the KV Event Co-Ordinator. She will be booking all events @KV. If you want to book a room for anything from small groups to large groups please call her @ 651-1123 and her email is sherry.mccormick@kingsvalley.ca . Sherry and her husband Mike ( you'll find him working at the sound board on Sunday mornings ) attend KV. Make sure you welcome the newest member of the KV Staff !!

Hey Everyone ! Christmas is coming quickly, more quickly then a lot of us would like, except for those people who I hear saying they have their shopping done and wrapped !!! Anyway, its time again to decorate the church in celebration of our Lord's birthday.... The date we are hoping to get a crew together to help get everything going is Monday, November 23rd. There is something for everyone to do , if you are able to give even 1 hour that evening PLEASE give the church office a call @ 847-5343 and let Carol or Diane know..... Thank You !!!

Thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the Gideon Dinner and the Torry Martin Comedy Night, the chair team, setting up the tables, parking, serving and clean up. You are too numerous to mention but you are all are a real blessing and we could not do these events without your help !!

Operation Christmas Child

Hi everyone,

Just to let it be known, we have several Christmas Shoeboxes here at the church office. This means there are several kids across the world that will not receive a Christmas box if some of us don't drive over to the church, grab a box, and fill it with toys and love. Operation Christmas Child is one of the best and easiest ways to show the love of Christ during the Christmas season. So if you haven't got a box already, come by and pick one up.

Hymns & Praises

The first choir practice for Sunday Evenings Hymns and Praises will be Sunday, November 15th at 12:30pm. Bring your lunch and practice will follow. We have a great group started, but every voice makes a difference so come join us for our first practice!! We are practicing for our December 20th Christmas Hymns & Praises service. Gideon Dinner

We are looking for some of our church family to help with the annual Gideon Dinner being held on Thursday, November 5th. If you are able to help with parking, serving or clean up please give the church office a call @ 847-533....We would appreciate it !!

Wesleyan Women

Torry Martin Comedy Night

Hey Everyone !! Just a reminder that we are having a comedy night on November 13th here at KV featuring Torry Martin. We are hoping you will support this and invite your friends and family. There will be a hip of beef buffet prepared by Steve Cyr. Where else can you go out to eat AND be entertained for $25.00.... Come on out for a fun night of laughing and eating.
